Kofi Kingston Wasn't Originally WWE's Choice From The New Day To Compete At MONEY IN THE BANK

WWE kept us guessing for weeks about which member of The New Day would end up competing in the men's Money in the Bank ladder match and it's now been revealed that Kofi Kingston wasn't originally the top pick!

Last month, we heard that a big singles push could be on the cards for The New Day member Big E. That's not to say the popular faction is about to split up but as we saw on Tuesday's episode of SmackDown Live, the company won't be shying away from giving the former NXT Champion the spotlight and possibly making him part of the WWE Championship picture moving forward.

However, during last week's Money in the Bank PPV, Kofi Kingston was ultimately unveiled as the member of The New Day who would be competing on the team's behalf in the ladder match.

Some fans questioned that decision, especially as Kingston never really came close to winning! Well, it's now been revealed that Big E was originally scheduled to appear in the match but plans changed a few days before the show. He obviously won't be taking AJ Styles on at the Extreme Rules PPV (Rusev gets that honour) so it will be interesting seeing where things go for him from here.
