Kurt Angle Reflects On Not Being Able To Square Off With John Cena At WRESTLEMANIA

Much to the disgust of wrestling fans, Kurt Angle squared off with Baron Corbin in a losing effort at WrestleMania and he's now taken to social media to share a touching photo he took with John Cena backstage.

Much to the chagrin of wrestling fans, Kurt Angle did the honours for Baron Corbin at WrestleMania on Sunday in his "farewell match." Leading up to the bout, pretty much everyone was hoping that the Olympic Gold Medallist would face John Cena, especially as the leader of the Cenation had his first main roster match against Angle.

Now, Angle has taken to Instagram to share his regrets about not getting to face Cena but shared a backstage photo of the two iconic Superstars reunited.

As Angle notes, he was decked out in a "Team Angle" hoodie and Cena was back as the Doctor of Thuganomics, a throwback to the first time they met. It's a shame Angle's final match played out the way it did but hopefully that won't tarnish his otherwise amazing legacy.
