Lana Loses To Asuka On RAW Before Being Put Through A Table - Again - By Nia Jax

Lana got her shot as Asuka's Raw Women's Championship during last night's season premiere, but was defeated in about 3 minutes before being put through the announce table again by Nia Jax. A push, you say?

Lana faced Asuka for her Raw Women's Championship last night after winning the recent dual brand no. 1 contenders battle royal, but the match did not last very long.

The one-time "Ravishing Russian" got a couple of kicks in, but the Empress of Tomorrow easily rebounded and was ultimately able to synch in the Asuka Lock to force the tap-out victory. No sooner had the bell rang, than Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax rushed the ring, with the latter using the opportunity to grab Lana and put her through the announce table with a Samoan Drop for the 167th time.

The table thing is clearly a running joke now, but unless it's building to Lana standing up for herself and showing a more aggressive side, it seems like a fairly pointless way to bury the still relatively popular Superstar. There are rumors doing the rounds that WWE has a "massive babayface" push in store for Lana, so maybe this will all lead to something.

How do you guys feel about Lana's treatment on Raw? Will we see a push, or is she being punished for some reason (*cough Rusev joining AEW).
