Lana Wins Dual-Brand Battle Royal On RAW; Will Face Asuka For Her Women's Title Next Monday

Last night on Raw, a Dual-Brand Battle Royal was held to determine the new No. 1 contender for Asuka's red brand Women's Championship, and Lana (believe it or not) emerged victorious.

The match featured participants sich as Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler and Bianca Belair, but in the end it came down to Natalya and Lacey Evans (a sign that some kind of swerve was on the cards).

Lana hadn't actually been eliminated after being put through a table (again) by Jax, so when Nattie knocked the Southern Belle to the floor, the one-time Ravishing Russian seized the opportunity to re-enter the ring and sent her former tag team partner after her.

Earlier in the night, Natalya told Lana that they were "done" as a team after they lost to Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke, so this must have felt pretty good for the put-upon Superstar, who has been on the receiving end of a lot of punishment of late.

Was all of the strife building to a first championship win for Lana? Highly unlikely, but if anyone can get a good match out of her, it's the Empress of Tomorrow.
