Lars Sullivan's SMACKDOWN LIVE Match Was Scrapped As "The Freak" Is Currently Dealing With An Injury

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Lars Sullivan was originally scheduled to face Matt Hardy on SmackDown Live this past Tuesday. "The Freak" has attacked the former Tag Team Champion on a number of occasions and now he's seemingly done with The Lucha House Party, Hardy definitely would have been a good choice of opponent.

The reason Sullivan didn't compete in the match is because he's said to be dealing with a minor knee injury.

However, while it's currently being classified as minor that could change as there's some concern that it could be worse than it looks and Sullivan is now slated to undergo an MRI. If he is injured, it couldn't come at a worse time and it's easy to imagine WWE just abandoning plans for his push if it happens.

We'll keep you guys updated as we learn more over the weekend.
