While everyone is still talking about Shinsuke Nakamura and Asuka's respective Royal Rumble wins and the WWE debut of Ronda Rousey, the company is already shifting the spotlight to its next PPV as last night's RAW featured a series of qualifying matches for the Elimination Chamber event. A women's version of the match will also take place but only Alexa Bliss has been announced for that.
On the show, John Cena ended up defeating Finn Balor, Elias took down Matt Hardy, and Braun Strowman beat Kane in a brutal Last Man Standing Match. This year's Elimination Chamber is a little different as it's going to decide the #1 contender for Brock Lesnar's Universal Championship at WrestleMania. With that in mind, expect Roman Reigns to earn himself a place next Monday.
It's odd that WWE would have Elias defeat Matt Hardy as that's his second loss in a row on RAW and that's not exactly going to help get his "Woken" persona over with wrestling fans...
