A new match has been added to the card for the upcoming special event WWE Saturday Night's Main Event XXXVII, taking place at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York.

Following the events that took place at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2024, wherein Liv Morgan's team (Morgan, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, Tiffany Stratton and Candice LeRae) lost to Team Rhea Ripley (which also included Bianca Belair, Bayley, Iyo Sky and Naomi), we now know what Raw's women's world champion will be doing next, as she will be defending her title against Iyo Sky at this special.

Sky earned the right to challenge for the Women's World Championship by winning a No. 1 contender's battle royal on the November 4, 2024 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw—a match that ended with a final four of Bianca Belair, Jde Cargill, and the runner-up, Lyra Valkyria.

Iyo Sky has never held the Women's World Championship, but has held several other titles over her WWE career, including the WWE Women's Championship, which she won at SummerSlam 2023 after cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase on Bianca Belair. Sky held that title from August 5, 2023 until April 7, 2024, when she dropped it to Bayley on night 2 of WWE WrestleMania XL.

Sky also was the top woman in NXT, holding the NXT Women's Championship from June 7, 2020's NXT TakeOver: In Your House until NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver Night 1 on April 7, 2021, winning the belt from Charlotte Flair (and Rhea Ripley in a Triple Threat match) and dropping it to Raquel Rodriguez. This accompanies Sky's three tag team titles and various other awards and accolades over the years.

Morgan, on the other hand, has held this Women's World Championship for nearly 200 days, capturing it from Becky Lynch at King & Queen of the Ring on May 25, 2024 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

This brings the updated lineup for Saturday Night's Main Event to the following card:

  • Tournament Final for the Inaugural WWE Women's United States Championship: TBD vs. TBD
  • Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens
  • Singles Match for the Women's World Championship: Liv Morgan (c) vs. Iyo Sky

What do you think of Iyo Sky getting her title match against Liv Morgan at Saturday Night's Main Event? Are you predicting a title change, or do you think Morgan will continue to find a way to retain her title, by hook or by crook? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
