Lola Vice captured the NXT Women's Championship on the NXT Stand & Deliver premium live event (on April 4, 2026), winning the title in St. Louis in a Triple Threat match alongside Kendal Grey and Jacy Jayne.
How did this go down tonight, what led to this, and what could be on the horizon? Let's break it all down!
How We Got Here:
Both Lola Vice and Kendal Grey had previous encounters with Jacy Jayne, but recently built up enough momentum for both to justify getting another shot at the belt. A No. 1 contender's match was set up between them, ending in a controversial double-decision wherein one was pinned while the other was submitting. It was decided a few days later on social media that both would get the shot, turning the match into a Triple Threat.
Lola Vice ended up coming out on top, pinning Jayne herself to score the victory and win her first championship in NXT. Vice is simultaneously also the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion alongside Mr. Iguana
She etches herself into the record books as the first-ever Cuban-born woman to hold the NXT Women's Championship. This will naturally be addressed in some fashion on her celebration for winning this title, which was mentioned by NXT General Manager Robert Stone as being set for next Tuesday night's episode of WWE NXT.
In that same backstage segment, Vice was congratulated by people as she walked by them and then by Sexyy Red (who was the host of this event), twerking with her to celebrate.
Personal Reactions & What Happens Next?:
Vice makes sense as the next champion. Jayne is more than ready for the main roster call-up I'm sure she'll get, and Vice has been around long enough and has had some title reign experience with AAA that she can fill this role rather well. I don't necessarily think she'll have an exceedingly long title reign, as I anticipate Blake Monroe, Kelani Jordan, maybe even Kali Armstrong, Kendal Grey, or Jaida Parker all being within the ranks to hold it, but I think she'll do a good job.
