The Great American Bash was one of WCW's trademark PPVs back in the day, although WWE did hold several shows that bore the name, the last one taking place almost a decade ago.

However, it now looks like the company may be planning to revive The Bash.

According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office, WWE applied for the trademark "The Great American Bash" on April 27th, which obviously indicates that they intend to use the title for an upcoming show.

Could it simply be a one-off or special event like NXT's recent War Games PPV, perhaps? We'll just have to wait and see.
