A little earlier this week, former SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley pointed out that she's not booked for WrestleMania despite having had a great year in WWE.
While there's speculation that she'll be added to the Women's Tag Team Championship match as Carmella's partner, Dave Meltzer has dropped some hints in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Apparently, there's been talk of a talk show segment with Bayley, and that could be interrupted by a huge returning star.
He explains that this segment "would likely be Lynch’s return as the idea of her driving a big truck in at one of the two Mania shows during a Bayley talk show segment is something we were told was being planned at one point."
You may recall that Lynch showed up to RAW at the WWE Performance Center in her own truck last year, but that was supposed to be showcased at WrestleMania during her entrance and at WrestleMania Axxess. Thanks to the pandemic, that obviously didn't end up happening.
"The Man" hasn't been seen on WWE programming since last May when she announced on RAW that she was pregnant. Asuka was the Money in the Bank holder at the time, so Lynch awarded her with the RAW Women's Championship so she could head home and focus on the birth of her and Seth Rollins' son (she gave birth to him last December).
Fingers crossed this pans out at the Showcase of the Immortals, eh?
