The last time we saw Asuka, she successfully defended the SmackDown Women's Championship against Becky Lynch. 

Well, she finally returned to SmackDown Live last night and made it clear that she wants a challenge. The Empress of Tomorrow found one in the form of Mandy Rose and after Lacey Evans made another appearance in the middle of the bout, it didn't take long for the tide to turn and for Rose to pick up the win after feigning an eye injury and using a
rollup

It appears as if the stage is being set for Asuka to square off with Rose at Fastlane but with rumours swirling that Evans will be her challenger at WrestleMania, this may very well have been the start of that.
