Fans have frequently compared Mandy Rose and Tiffany Stratton. It's become clear the latter is the better athlete and WWE Superstar, though Rose's in-ring abilities did improve greatly during her final stint in NXT.
Rose was released by the company as a result of posts shared on OnlyFans which pushed the boundaries of WWE's "PG" rating.
Stratton became WWE Women's Champion last month after cashing in her Money in the Bank briefcase on Nia Jax. She later cut a promo telling people to "put some respect" on her name, and while that phrase is by no means a pro wrestling creation, it was also used by Rose.
During a podcast appearance, she accused Stratton of "[using] my slogan" and added, "Listen, we can admire each other, we can respect, we can look up to, but we can’t take our words from each other."
Rose continued, "So congratulations to Tiffy, but don’t use my words, honey. We make that very clear, but that’s okay. I commend you, and I think you’re doing amazing, so I’ll put you over, but again, don’t use my words."
Stratton was asked about those remarks during a recent interview and responded, "Honestly, I think it’s a little sad that she felt the need to go on her podcast and say something like that. I wish her the best, honestly."
Now, it's Rose's turn to chime in and, on her podcast, was quick to make it clear her quotes were taken out of context and that she remains a huge fan of Stratton's. On her side, there's no beef despite how her previous comments were interpreted by many.
"Damn, Twitter is so funny. From our last episode about Tiffany Stratton, these haters… Did you see…? Let’s be clear: I never bashed Tiffany Stratton. In fact, I praised her in a previous episode, saying she’s an amazing talent and definitely going places. Look at her—she’s already a champion, and she’s only been on the main roster for probably less than two years. I’ve always commended and highly complimented her."
"People were going nuts, saying, ‘Oh my God, you’re just jealous! You’re this, you’re that. She’s done more.’ I’m like, ‘Guys, calm down!’….I just posted a video on there just talking about how you know y’all got to calm down and not take everything so seriously, like so literally. It was a little extreme, but Kudos to Tiffany Stratton, okay, because I think she’s an incredible talent, and there’s no hate, trust me."
It did feel a little like Rose was taking a shot at Stratton, but we'd say most just dismissed it as possibly teasing a match between the two women somewhere down the line. Stratton clearly didn't appreciate it, though, and it will be interesting to see whether this is the end of it now.
