On Saturday night, Jeff Hardy caught the attention of fans at a WWE house show for some pretty bizarre behaviour that saw the Charismatic Enigma appear sluggish in the ring and ultimately leave through the crowd before the match finished. It was later reported that WWE sent the former WWE Champion home, but we still don't know exactly what led to any of that taking place.
Now, his brother Matt Hardy - who is currently signed with AEW - has taken to Twitch (via WrestlingNews.co) to share an update with fans on Jeff's status.
"I did speak to Jeff for a little bit today and he’s okay, he’s good," Matt revealed. "I think he’ll be fine but once again, this isn’t my business and if he wants to go into it in more detail then he’ll do it himself. Jeff is okay. He is at home and he is okay. It’s not my business. It’s not my story to tell or explain and besides that, I wouldn’t be able to do it justice anyway because it’s not from my perspective so I love my brother and I just want my brother to be okay and healthy."
Matt's comments are definitely interesting, and it feels like there might be something more going on here. We know WWE hasn't booked Jeff the way he hoped since signing a new deal with the company, and after this, it should be interesting seeing how the situation continues to pan out.
Needless to say, we wish Jeff all the best and will continue to keep you guys updated.
