Last night, Matt Hardy held a live stream edition of his "Thoughts From The Throne" YouTube series, and confirmed that he's no longer under WWE contract, as of today (Monday, March 2nd).

Revealing that he's now a free agent, Matt said the door is open to a WWE return, and he praised everyone from Vince McMahon to Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, and Michael Hayes (it definitely doesn't sound like there's any bad blood there). As for why he's left WWE, he noted that it boiled down to not being on the same page as the company in terms of having creative input with his character.

For his last few years in the ring, he wants to have that, but noted that he believes he will do something with WWE after that. Pointing out that his #FreeTheDelete series begins this Wednesday, he teased popping up in any number of companies, but him being All Elite Wrestling bound seems like a certainty at this point.

We'll be sure to keep you guys updated, but Matt's time in WWE is clearly at an end.
