It looks like those rumors that Matt Hardy was considering retirement were true after all, at least according to The Wrestling Observer. Apparently, The "Woken Warrior" is set to take an unspecified amount of time off to deal with his various nagging injuries, and his future as an in-ring competitor is definitely in question.

Fans noticed that Hardy seemed to be bidding farewell to his tag-partner Bray Wyatt after their bout this past Monday on Raw, and by all accounts that's because the Deleters of Worlds vs. The B-Team match was done as a blow-off to their feud.

Even if this is the end of Matt's wrestling career, there's every chance he will return in some backstage capacity, as there's also been talk of him shadowing producers so he could learn the ropes.

Whatever happens, we're sure to have some more updates soon after SummerSlam so keep an eye on TRR to find out more.
