Over the past few days, we've been hearing a lot about a verbal altercation between WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and NXT Champion Matt Riddle before the
Royal Rumble PPV. Apparently, The Beast made it clear to Riddle that they'll never work together but he's not giving up on the match!
"I've been waiting a long time to get in a Royal Rumble," Riddle says in the video below which was released today by the WWE Performance Center account. "The Royal Rumble is my favorite pay per view since I was a little kid. It's my birthday tomorrow. It's just one of those things, you know?"
"I really wanted to get my hands on Brock," he continued. "I saw him throwing everybody around. I don't care what he does or what anybody does. I don't care if he wants the match or not. I'm gonna get it. I don't care. It's not up to him. I don't like being told, 'no', especially when I work as hard as I do."
"Trust me. I guarantee you. I guarantee you. I get my hands on him, and I make that match happen, and I take his career. I promise. I promise." Honestly, it's beginning to feel like WWE may be building to something here but when it will happen is impossible to say right now.
With any luck, it will be sooner rather than later...
