On tonight's episode of NXT, Tavion Heights defeated Charlie Dempsey in a match that had been set up by Bubba Ray Dudley last week, wherein the stipulation was that if Heights won, he would be allowed to leave No Quarter Catch Crew, but if he lost, he would have to stay in the group "with a smile on his face". Heights had previously wrestled Dempsey for this opportunity to leave the group—after being inspired by Myles Borne, who had done the very same thing—but was unsuccessful due to Wren Sinclair throwing in the towel on his behalf, worried that Heights would suffer some kind of injury by not tapping out to Dempsey in time.
This go-around, Heights was victorious, and instead of going in the direction of having Dempsey upset over it, they simply shook hands and that was that. Nothing else on this episode, at the very least, indicated that there is any ill-will between the two, though of course, next week, Dempsey could lament this loss to Sinclair, who had previously said she wouldn't leave any of them as she's NQCC for life, essentially.
There was a backstage segment in NXT General Manager Ava's office where Robert Stone and EVOLVE Prime Minister Stevie Turner gave Ava some updates on the medical statuses of Ricky Saints and Jordynne Grace.
Saints was in action last week against Jasper Troy, where he supposedly suffered a bruised sternum, but doesn't have any broken ribs, and is expected to be back in no time.
Grace was in a similar update of "banged up but not too bad". She had been put out of action from a DDT on top of a steel chair by Blake Monroe. Turner said Grace's strong neck saved her from any spinal injuries, but she'll be in a neck brace for a while.
At the time of this publication, nothing has been reported about whether or not any of these injuries are legitimate, or if this is a storyline done to mask other real-life injuries, or if every element of this is just pure kayfabe.
