According to Dave Meltzer, Mercedes Martinez has indeed signed with WWE. She'll reportedly start training at the Performance Center later this month and has been in the wrestling business since 2000.

She has a huge following in the world of independent wrestling and has competed for companies like Women's Superstars Uncensored, World Xtreme Wrestling, Shine, and Shimmer. In the latter company, she won the their top title back in December but dropped it the following day. She's also worked with All Elite Wrestling both at All Out and during a November episode of Dark

Needless to say, it's easy to see why WWE decided to quickly sign her up and she has a history with them as well after competing in both Mae Young Classic tournaments. There have been rumblings for a while that she would head to WWE and we'll likely see her in NXT soon enough.

How do you guys feel about this news?
