As recent reports indicated she would, NXT UK Superstar Piper Niven made her Raw debut last night alongside the returning Eva Marie, and despite the announcers pretending not to have a clue who she was (who does that help? WWE? Her? The NXT UK brand?), she ended up squashing Naomi in under two minutes.

Predictably enough, quite a few "fans" took to social media shortly after the match to make fun of Niven's weight, and former NXT (or is she back there? Is she still part of Retribution? We have no idea) Mia Yim send out a Tweet of her own in defense of the talented wrestler.

NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed also weighed in.

It's a shame that anyone should have to deal with this type of thing, but such is the sad reality of social media. Niven has been doing this a long time, though, so we're sure she's developed a thick skin by now.

Let's hope WWE utilizes her well on Raw, because it's difficult to have confidence in anything that company is doing with its flagship show these days.
