This Sunday, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley will be the special guest referee for the main event of Hell In A Cell, which will see Roman Reigns defend the Universal Championship against Braun Strowman in the very structure that the ‘Hardcore Legend’ made famous 20 years ago.

Excitement filled the air when the former WWE champion made the announcement this past Monday, and many fans are speculating on how Foley’s involvement will affect the title match on Sunday. The WWE Hall of Famer was a guest on Busted Open Radio, and during the show Foley discussed his role as the special guest referee for the Universal title match on Sunday night.

“When that door shuts, all the focus will be on them…obviously I hope I get involved in some way,” said Foley about the match. The former WWE champion would go on to explain how his appearance came about, citing that he texted Mr. McMahon after his RAW 25 appearance to do something more Impactful.
