Could fans finally get the Mickie James vs. Asuka feud that we’ve been looking for?

The “Empress of Tomorrow” is now the RAW Women’s Champion and there are endless challengers that could step up and fight Asuka for the title. One of them is Mickie James, who called out the newly crowned champion for being handed the prestigious belt:

Never one to back down from a fight, Asuka accepted Mickie’s challenge:

James’ first return match in the WWE was against Asuka at NXT Takeover: Toronto. The longest reigning NXT Women’s Champion successfully retained her title that night. James and Asuka would clash again on RAW; however, Asuka would end up winning that contest as well.

There’s no word on when the 40-year-old will make her return to the squared circle as she's currently sidelined with an ACL injury. Should the veteran make her return soon, then she'll have to make the transition over to RAW to challenge Asuka for the belt as James is listed as a Smackdown star.
