Mickie James Casts Some Doubt On Whether She'll Return To In-Ring Action After Knee Surgery

Mickie James underwent knee surgery yesterday and will now be out of action for several months (and likely unable to return until early 2020). The former Women's Champion was injured on June 1st during a match with Carmella at a non-televised WWE Live event. 

Now, James has taken to social media to let fans know that she's doing well but the wording of her Tweet has some fans worried that she will be unable to return. 

At 39, James is certainly one of WWE's older female performers but still looks amazing and is great in the ring. However, she may now be ready to hang up her wrestling boots and transition into a backstage role. Regardless, her contract expires in December of this year but if that's frozen while she's injured, she'll be with the company until summer 2020.
