Mike Kanellis Returns On 205 LIVE And Picks Up A Victory With New Tag-Team Partner Tony Nese

Mike Kanellis, aka Mike Bennett, hasn't been featured on WWE television since publicly requesting his release late last year, but "The Miracle" made his return last night during 205 LIVE with a new partner.

A lot was made of Mike Kanellis asking for his WWE release over Twitter last December, but despite being seen as unprofessional by some, most felt it was understandable given the horrendous angles the talented wrestler had been landed with ever since joining the company.

Kanellis, aka Mike Bennett, wasn't granted his release so it was assumed he'd wait out the remainder of his contract at home, but he must have come to some sort of arrangement with the powers that be because he returned to action last night on 205 LIVE.

Mike teamed with Tony Nese and managed to defeat The Brian Kendrick and Ariya Daivari after the pair was distracted by current foes Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.

It's assumed that Kanellis and Nese will be a tandem moving forward. Let's just hope he doesn't wind up with another "cuckold" gimmick down the line!
