The crossover partnership between WWE and TNA Wrestling picked up some more steam again on tonight's episode of NXT, and it will directly lead to some matches scheduled for next week and one big one teased for the future beyond that.

Opening tonight's show was NXT champion Oba Femi, who is angry about being attacked at WWE Vengeance Day by Saquon Shugars, Cutler James, Osiris Griffin, and Dion Lennox. That group, for anyone who is wondering, still not only has no name, but no motive or anything explained on tonight's episode, but they did trash the backstage area and attack Robert Stone.

Instead of coming out when challenged by Oba Femi, the NXT champion was met by TNA Wrestling's Moose.

Moose and Femi shared the ring together, with the X Division champion saying that a match between them needs to take place. Femi returned the favor, saying that it will, and they posed with their title belts. Nothing was formally announced as to when/where/etc that match will happen.

Later in the show, Moose was backstage talking to Lexis King, who took umbrage with the idea that wrestlers from TNA are coming in and getting NXT title shots (as in, how King defended his NXT Heritage Cup Championship against TNA's JDC, who is part of the same faction as Moose over in TNA called The System). Moose said that he doesn't know how they do things in NXT, but if King wants a shot at the X Division title, he just needed to ask, and plans to destroy King next week.

In another backstage segment, the NXT tag team champions Axiom and Nathan Frazer were being interviewed by Sarah Schreiber on how they successfully retained their titles last Saturday. As they were talking about how they were attacked by the mysterious quartet, No Quarter Catch Crew interrupted. Fraxiom assumed they were going to ask for a tag title match, only for Myles Borne to clarify that he and Tavion Heights actually want to face the best tag team in the world (if not of all time). Heights then called out Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy for next week.

Later still, The Hardy Boyz posted a response video on X accepting that challenge.

Therefore, TNA Wrestling's Moose will defend the X Division Championship next week against Lexis King, and The Hardy Boyz will face No Quarter Catch Crew in tag team action.

Do you think this is leading to The Hardy Boys against Fraxiom at Stand & Deliver? When do you think Moose vs. Oba Femi will happen? Does Lexis King stand a chance at winning the X Division title? Drop your thoughts in the comments below!
