Last week, WWE made a last-minute decision to take the SmackDown Women's Championship from Asuka and put it on Charlotte Flair leading into WrestleMania. The reason for that is because Vince McMahon wanted to increase the stakes in the PPV's main event but details continue doing the rounds about the company's original plans for the Empress of Tomorrow.

According to Dave Meltzer, the plan was for Asuka to defend the title against Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville in a Triple Threat match.

That was later changed to Asuka vs. Rose in a singles bout but there may still be big plans for the former champion at the Show of Shows! As of right now, she's the favourite to win the Women's Battle Royal despite the fact Vince doesn't quite "get" the Japanese Superstar.
