More Details On CM Punk's Shocking Return On WWE BACKSTAGE Have Been Revealed

If you're wondering why everyone looked so surprised when CM Punk appeared on WWE Backstage last night, it's because the only person who new it was happening was Renee Young. Apparently, the feeling was that letting others know would have resulted in the news leaking online and neither Fox nor WWE wanted that to happen.

It's said that Punk has not signed anything with WWE and while he hasn't been in talks with them, the company has given the Best in the World their blessing to appear on the Fox Sports 1 show.

The @WWEonFOX Twitter account has also confirmed that Punk will not be appearing on the show every week. Interestingly, it's said that his deal with Fox was only signed a few days ago and that after last week's disastrous 49,000 rating, something had to be done to increase interest.

Now, we'll just have to wait and see what the future holds in store for Punk in WWE.
