Neville's status remains up in the air as of right now but it's been widely reported that the former Cruiserweight Champion was unhappy with WWE and being asked to lose to Enzo Amore in the main event of RAW was the straw that broke the camel's back. It's also thought that, like Austin Aries, Neville was furious that his match from the WrestleMania 33 Kickoff show was left off the DVD.
Now, in a new report, it's said that Neville has been frustrated for a while, not to mention his dissatisfaction with the lack of pay-offs, and the rough life a WWE Superstar has on the road. He's actually been "miserable" since January and his decision to leave comes nine months later than a lot of people close to the situation thought it would. Throw in the fact that he knows that he can make considerably more an Indie wrestler than a member of the 205 Live roster and he wants out.
Going back to WrestleMania 33, though, and it's said that regardless of losing out on the money he would have got from the match being included on the DVD, he was "infuriated" that WWE "would disregard his service and value" and that the company was viewing him as "nothing more than a very talented ‘get-over guy" being used to get other wrestlers - like Enzo - over.
Neville is now hoping to make his way to Ring of Honor or New Japan Pro Wrestling but his contract status is unclear and a release may be hard to come by as Vince McMahon isn't happy!
