As we've told you, Dean Ambrose seemingly chose to go off script on RAW when he addressed Seth Rollins' upcoming match with Universal Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
Now, Dave Meltzer has shed some light on what Ambrose was supposed to say and the promo was clearly meant to be much lengthier. "Originally, he was actually supposed to explain why he would say ‘slay the beast’ but he didn’t so he said ‘slay the beast,'" Meltzer said. "It was about ‘we started together’ and the whole Shield thing and Roman Reigns and all that."
Apparently, this was indeed meant to be Ambrose's babyface turn as WWE has realised that his heel turn was poorly executed and there's just no way fans will boo him leading to his departure in April. Ambrose has reportedly told friends that he wants to continue wrestling, so you just know All Elite Wrestling is keeping an eye on him.
What do you think the future could hold in store for the former WWE Champion once he leaves the company?
