During a recent appearance on Lilian Garcia's podcast, Peyton Royce - one half of the Women's Tag Team Champions - shared some insight into why her fiance Tye Dillinger decided to leave WWE.
Asked what led to him requesting his release, Royce replied:
"He wants to wrestle. He loves wrestling, and that’s what he wants to do. And so he’s going to go make himself happy and he’s going to do that."
"Oh, absolutely," she added when asked if she supports his decision. "He used to ask me, ‘Babe, would you still, like, um, what do you think’ and I would always say, ‘I just want you to be happy and whatever, whatever that is, you do that, and I will support you because as long as you’re happy, I need you to be happy.’"
It's thought that Dillinger will look to move to All Elite Wrestling but after not being used by WWE for so long on SmackDown Live, it's easy enough to see why he wanted to hit the Indy scene and actually get the opportunity to perform on a regular basis.
We'll be sure to keep you guys updated about what Dillinger does next when we hear more about it.
