It's been noted by various sites that both Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens were sent back to the U.S. after last night's Smackdown LIVE taping. According to Sports Illustrated, it was said that they were sent home "for conduct deemed detrimental to the WWE."

Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Zayn and Owens didn't follow directions given to them during their segment with the New Day on the Smackdown taping as they were supposed to continue attacking after the match - getting pushed back each time they tried - until finally retreating. The purpose was to get a bigger reaction for the New Day, but the segment was awkward with the New Day just standing there when Zayn and Owens didn't follow up.

Its also being reported that the duo have become "increasingly difficult to work with" and have been "unhappy backstage". This is a shame as Zayn and Owens have been the highlight on Smackdown, even though it does remain baffling that the newly turned Zayn keeps losing so much thus losing heat and the motivation for the turn in the first place.
