More WWE Releases Are Expected Sooner Rather Than Later, But Who Will Be Next To Go?

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reveals that talk of more WWE releases coming have not died down over the past week or so. It's said that Sin Cara, The Ascension, and Luke Harper weren't aware of their respective releases being granted until Sunday so there are likely a lot of Superstars likely hoping for a surprise in time for the holidays!

We know that Mike Kanellis wants out of WWE and there have been rumours that Matt Hardy is also planning to go elsewhere due to the way he's been booked on television over the past year or so.

Time will tell who's next but The Ascension definitely came as a surprise so expect more shockers if this does indeed happen. Many recent releases have been for older Superstars - Goldust, Tye Dillinger, and Hideo Itami, for example - so perhaps WWE believes that the talent they're planning to release aren't worth keeping around anyway.

We'll be sure to keep you guys updated if we hear more about the situation over the weekend.
