On the heels of last week's report that one of the developmental Superstars from the crowd had tested positive for coronavirus, it's been revealed that several other people in WWE who have been at the Performance Center have been diagnosed with COVID-19 - including at least one in-ring talent.
Pro Wrestling Sheet doesn't provide any names, but they report that "at least three people who had been at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando received positive test results this week." Apparently, WWE medical staff are planning to conduct more tests before this week’s TV tapings in order to make sure the virus has not spread among talent/behind the scenes workers.
WWE has since issued an official statement, but kept things very vague.
“WWE will continue COVID-19 testing of its talent, production crew and employees in advance of TV productions for the foreseeable future.”
Recent reports indicated that the powers that be were planning to allow more fans back into the PC soon, but this will almost certainly grind things to a halt in that regard. We'll update you guys if and when we learn more, but this is obviously not good news and could set things back considerably.
UPDATE: Well, we now have one name...
