MVP challenged Apollo Crews for the United States Championship last night on Raw, and we hope you liked the match, because you're gonna see it again at SummerSlam!
Porter has been claiming to be the real US Champion after Crews was unable to compete at Extreme Rules, and had the chance to win the actual title this week. After a pretty mediocre match Apollo pinned his opponent with his spinning powerbomb, successfully retaining the gold.
So that's that... right? No, because MVP was not satisfied (he blamed the flickering lights for distracting him) and demanded another shot at SummerSlam. Crews accepted, and the match was then made official.
WWE really needs to enlist someone - anyone - who knows what the hell they're doing when it comes to booking matches and coming up with ideas for engaging, long-term feuds and angles. MVP and his Hurt Business are currently involved with Raw Underground anyway - why not just give Crews another opponent for the PPV and build some of that new talent you've been talking about? Does anyone care about this current MVP/Apollo storyline? It really boggles the mind.
