WWE may have made the name of its next PPV event as awkward to say (and type) as possible, but they do also seem to be adding as many title matches as possible to the card. Last night on Raw, we found out that MVP will get a shot at Apollo Crews' United States Championship at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.
MVP pinned Crews last week, and he feels that technically makes him the champ already. During a segment on this week's show, he and Bobby Lashley unveiled a new United States title belt before being challenged to a match by the team of Ricochet and Cedric Alexander.
Lashley won the match for his team after locking Alexander in the Full Nelson, but Ricochet was able to make the save when the post-match beat-down continued. Afterwards, MVP attempted to recruit Cedric, and seemed to get the talented young Superstar's attention.
MVP's promo work has been one of the highlights of Raw these past couple of months, so there is a chance the powers that be may decide to give him a run with the title.
