New Day Members Big E And Xavier Woods Talk More About That Backstage Incident With The Big Show

When The New Day first debuted, no one was really keen on the faction and it took quite some time until they found their footing as a group. Someone else who wasn't keen on the team was The Big Show and he took Kofi Kingston to one side and made it clear that he shouldn't be wasting his time with Big E and Xavier Woods. Now, they're one of the most popular groups in WWE history.

"[When] we were trying to get off the ground, Big Show would pull Kofi aside and say, ‘What are you doing with those two? They’re bringing you down. You should be in the World Title picture," Big E recently revealed. "This isn’t a time where it’s like, ‘Oh Big Show, it’s all fun and games.’ Like, we’re struggling to get on TV and we’re thinking we’re gonna get fired."

"You had been a champion," Woods said to Big E. "I had been on the road for three months doing nothing. So I had just come up from developmental like, ‘Oh everything’s shiny and new I’m so happy to be here guys!’ And then [Big Show] is just taking a dump on me to my face." Needless to say, The Big Show's reaction was overly harsh and you'd expect better of a veteran.
