New Details Revealed About Edge's New WWE Contract And How Many Times A Year He'll Wrestle

Edge made his WWE return on Sunday night at the Royal Rumble PPV after being forced to retire back in 2011. That came after months of rumours about his in-ring future and we recently learned that WWE managed to make him a much better offer than All Elite Wrestling.

Well, thanks to talkSPORT's Alex McCarthy, we've now learned that Edge has signed a three-year deal with WWE which will see him make a whopping $3 million a year!

Apparently, his contract specifies that he will wrestle three times a year but he is currently committed to five (the first of which was on Sunday at the Royal Rumble). Interestingly, the plan is reportedly for him to also make twenty five appearances over the course of a year, so it's a deal that's clearly very similar in nature to Brock Lesnar's.

The limited schedule is one that's necessary for Edge at this stage of his career and to protect his health.
