The first match for WWE Vengeance Day 2025 is in the books, and we already have a title change! The NXT Women's North American Championship just changed hands with Fallon Henley dropping the title to Stephanie Vaquer.
Henley and Vaquer had been feuding for the past several months, and The Dark Angel had previously won a No. 1 contender's match to get this title opportunity before, only to lose that spot to Shotzi, who had pinned Henley in a six-woman tag team match. After beating both Jazmyn Nyx and Jacy Jayne on separate occasions in the past two weeks, Vaquer eventually came back around to being back at the front of the line, and she made sure to capitalize on her first one-on-one title shot in WWE (outside of an NXT Live house show, wherein Vaquer beat Henley by disqualification in December)
This is only the third title reign in this belt's history, with Kelani Jordan winning the inaugural title in a six-woman ladder match at Battleground 2024 (which also featured Sol Ruca, Lash Legend, Jaida Parker, Michin, and Fallon Henley) before dropping it to Henley at Halloween Havoc on October 27th in a Gauntlet Match set up to allow Fatal Influence's other members, Jazmyn Nyx and Jacy Jayne, to soften up Jordan.
As per usual, both Jazmyn Nyx and Jacy Jayne also got involved in this match, trying to help their teammate by interfering, but Vaquer was able to fight off the numbers game, take out both of them ringside, and keep her attention long enough on the champion. The win came about after Vaquer nailed her Spiral Tap finisher for a clean-cut straight-up pinfall.
