Want to know the lineup for next week's episode of NXT? The Ring Report has you covered!
As per usual, next week's episode (taking place Tuesday, August 5, 2025) will be from its regular stomping grounds of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Two titles will be up for grabs, Nia Jax appears to be set for some kind of physicality, a mysterious tease of Tony D'Angelo in danger and more are on the schedule.
First up, the NXT Tag Team Championship will be on the line with Hank Walker and Tank Ledger defending against Chase University's Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors.
Last week, after The Undertaker told Je'Von Evans to "go after the biggest dog in the yard", Andre Chase passed on that same advice to his students. They decided to try to get a match for the tag team titles by doing what they've seen others do, which is to attack Hank and Tank backstage with steel chairs.
After they busted into the locker room with weapons in-hand, The Belly Boys told them all they had to do for a title opportunity was ask. They then had a pleasant gentlemen's agreement and Chase rolled his eyes over their stupid idea.
Luca Crusifino was seen saying that no families last forever when he oversaw The Culling talking about how Tatum Paxley wants to challenge Sol Ruca for the NXT Women's North American Championship. At first, Izzi Dame wrote off the idea, only for Shawn Spears and Niko Vance to come over and inform them that they had spoken to Ava and gotten the match confirmed. Dame then said she and the others would be ringside in support of Paxley to make sure she wins the title.
Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura got into a brief clash backstage after Briggs was looking at footage of last week's match and complained that Inamura ruined his only chance at the NXT Championship. Stacks went up to Briggs to say that Briggs has no loyalty in his bones, seemingly impressed by it, and then told Inamura that "Family doesn't last forever. Loyalty and honor do not exist in this business. In the end, everyone gets theirs." Inamura slapped him and then said next week, he'll show him honor.
Nia Jax targeted Lash Legend this week, attacking her during her match against Fallon Henley, and laying her out after the match with an Annihilator. Later in the show, Jax cut a promo to the camera saying that this was payback for how Legend eliminated her in the WWE Evolution battle royal, and that she was the most dominant force in WWE, not Legend. It seems she'll be back next week to prove this some more, but there was no formal announcement as of yet about if she'd be in a match or just an appearance of some other kind.
Lexis King will be given a chance to prove that Myles Borne is faking his hearing loss—as he asserts that if Borne were truly deaf, he wouldn't be able to wrestle, so he must be a phony—when those two face off next week, as revealed by NXT General Manager Ava.
Blake Mornoe will also be in the ring opposite Kelani Jordan. Those two had a brief fight tonight alongside Lola Vice and Jaida Parker, who have yet to be booked for the show.
Lastly, this episode ended with a mysterious tease of the future for Tony D'Angelo, who was sitting down at his restaurant table and told his server that he could just call him "Tony D" and that he's not "The Don" anymore. He then looked up and to the side at someone walking up to him, but we didn't see who that was or why they were there for Tony D. Did he get targeted? Was this a Sopranos reference about him being whacked? That's your cliffhanger for the week!
