Nikki Bella Comments On Ronda Rousey's Controversial Promo From RAW A Couple Of Weeks Ago
We're still not sure if Nikki Bella had any idea what Ronda Rousey was going to say in her scathing promo on Raw a couple of weeks back, but it certainly sounds as if she was at least somewhat miffed...
Two weeks ago on Raw, Ronda Rousey called out Brie and Nikki Bella after their betrayal to demand an explanation, and after listening to them spout the usual "you don't deserve the title" stuff, the Rowdy One went in on the twins.
Though we had all assumed that Nikki was given a heads up about the things Ronda was planning to bring up, it sounds like one remark in particular - “The only door you knocked down was to John Cena’s bedroom, and he eventually threw you out of that exact same door.” - may have gotten under her skin a little.
Here's what Nikki had to say when asked about the promo by The New York Post:
“I’ve grown thick-skinned to it. I just can’t wait for the day it can stop and not every promo towards me brings up my ex and I think it will [stop]. I think there will come a day for that, but maybe there won’t, but I do hope so.
I guess where it doesn’t make me angry or feel bad about myself is I know the hard work that I’ve done to get where I’m at. I know the stuff that … John didn’t do what everyone said. He was my biggest supporter. He gave me amazing advice. I’d pick his brain all the time, and that’s what he did for my career, [like] everyone who has that special person in their life.”
Nikki will get her chance to make Rousey eat her words and claim the Raw Women's Championship for good measure at Evolution this Sunday.
