Nikki Bella Wanted AJ Lee To Return For The Upcoming EVOLUTION PPV

Ever since it was first announced, we've heard rumblings that Evolution might feature an appearance from former Divas Champion AJ Lee and now Nikki Bella has expressed disappointment about her not returning.

AJ Lee is the woman who kickstarted the Women's Revolution with her scathing attacks on "Divas" like Nikki Bella and while she was gone by the time women like Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch were called up to the main roster, her role in changing how women's wrestling is perceived can't be underestimated.

During a recent convention appearance, The Bella Twins addressed a number of topics, including the upcoming Evolution PPV. While fans are anxious for Lee to make an appearance there, it's unlikely to happen, especially as she no longer seems to have any interest in wrestling and the way WWE treated her husband CM Punk when he left the company back in 2014 (firing him on their wedding day).

"I was actually hoping [AJ] was going to be at Evolution. She was a huge part of the Women’s division and if she came back, I would totally love to [wrestle her]. We had good chemistry. I really loved when Paige and AJ and Brie and I had a really good story going for a long time. I felt like that really helped with the evolution, [to] where it’s at today. So, it would be so fun."

Nikki seemingly misunderstands her place in the revolution because fans rallied against women like her and that's why she and Brie are still booed today. As always, share your thoughts down below.
