Nikki Cross' New Superhero Gimmick Was HER Idea; Check Out Some Early Concept Art For Colorful Ring Gear

During last night's episode of RAW, Nikki Cross debuted a new entrance theme and gimmick as a superhero character. It was an unexpected direction to take her in, and many fans have been critical of WWE's booking decision for the one-time dominant member of SAnitY.

Well, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is off the hook for this one because it's been confirmed that Cross herself pitched this gimmick to WWE earlier this year.

That was confirmed by her husband, NXT Superstar, Killian Dain, while Nikki talked positively about the change on her own Twitter account. Clearly, it's a character she's passionate about, and it's definitely easy to imagine younger fans getting behind this gimmick once they return to arenas next month.

Some early concept art for her ring gear has also been revealed, and it looks like this is something she plans to commit to heading into Money in the Bank next month.

Are you on board with this superhero gimmick for Nikki Cross?
