Nikki Cross Will Get A Shot At Bayley's SMACKDOWN Women's Title At EXTREME RULES

Nikki Cross will face Bayley for the SmackDown Women's Championship at Extreme Rules: The Horror Show.

A Fatal 4-Way match involving Cross, Lacey Evans, Dana Brooke and Alexa Bliss to determine the new No. 1 contender for Bayley's title was held on SmackDown last night, and the Glasgow native managed to score a pinfall victory over Evans with a quick roll-up.

Bayley and Sasha Banks (don't call them the Golden Roll-models!) were doing commentary, and seemed surprised and amused that Nikki had pulled out the win (remember when Cross was an anarchic force of nature people were scared to face?)

Bliss seemed genuinely happy for her tag-team partner, but there's a lot of speculation that this will ultimately lead to a heel turn and a feud between the two. Then again, that's been on the cards since they first joined forces, so who knows!

Does Cross have a shot at becoming the new SmackDown Women's Champion? We'd like to think so, but probably not.
