Steel Chair Magazine recently caught up with NXT Champion Adam Cole to discuss a wide range of topics, and among them was what it's been like to work with Triple H in NXT. When it was put to him that he might be a fitting choice to retire The Game (given the similarities between The Undisputed Era and DX), Cole seemed opened to the idea.
"Anybody on our roster would agree. We all idolized Triple H or Shawn Michaels as kids, and now we’ve grown up, we’re working together with them. We’re really getting to see their minds and not only how smart they are, but how much they absolutely love this job," he explained.
"I wouldn’t pass that up for the world, that absolutely is something that I would love to do. I know many NXT talents feel the same way, and I definitely know a bunch of fans would love it."
It would definitely be fitting for an NXT Superstar to be the one to end Triple H's career as it would be a fitting passing of the torch given everything the WWE Hall of Famer has done for the brand. It's been a while since we've seen The Game in the squared circle, of course, and he's not currently scheduled for WrestleMania.
Do you think Cole would be the right person to end Triple H's career?
