A major change to the title scene of NXT and the women's division in general, as well as the next premium live event, WWE NXT Halloween Havoc.
On this week's episode of WWE NXT, Sol Ruca went out to the ring on crutches, accompanied by her tag team partner Zaria and NXT General Manager Ava.
Sol addressed that she suffered an injury last Friday night on WWE SmackDown when she and Zaria fought Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship titles.
At the moment, she doesn't know when she is going to be cleared, and it was essentially put out there that she might be vacating both the NXT Women's North American Championship and the WWE Speed Women's Championship. That wasn't specifically said, but she is definitely out of the pay-per-view, and the Speed title was brushed aside as something else to deal with another time (given how WWE doesn't care much about that title and the more important belt is the Women's North American Championship anyway)
They were then interrupted by Blake Monroe, who claimed that since Ruca is not able to compete at the event, she should be awarded the title by default. However, Zaria had another idea in mind, suggesting that she could defend the title for Ruca in her honor.
Ava gave Ruca the choice to let her do this or not, and Ruca said she doesn't trust anyone more in the world than her ZaRuca tag team partner. Zaria then laid out Monroe and posed with the title, which evoked an upset reaction from Ruca as she watched her friend holding her championship.
WWE NXT Halloween Havoc will take place this Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Here is the updated lineup for the card:

- Day of the Dead Match for the NXT North American Championship: Ethan Page (c) vs El Hijo de Dr. Wagner
- Broken Rules Tag Team Match for the NXT Tag Team Championship: The Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy) (c) vs DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, and/or Osiris Griffin)
- Singles Match for the NXT Women's North American Championship: Zaria (c) vs Blake Monroe
- Singles Match for the NXT Women's Championship: Jacy Jayne (c) vs Tatum Paxley
- Singles Match for the NXT Championship: Ricky Saints (c) vs Trick Williams
