The last premium live event of the year for WWE NXT will be NXT Deadline, taking place Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas.
A few big updates to that lineup were announced on NXT Gold Rush, so here is the current card that we're aware of for both episodes, including next week's SPOILERS of the show (which will be hidden in white and indicated in case you don't want to know that extra information) from those reports.
NXT General Manager announced that while last year, multiple legends were able to pick the competitors for the men's and women's Iron Survivor Challenge matches, this time around, both groups would be chosen just by John Cena.
Tavion Heights had an interview right after where he was talking about how much of an honor it would be for him to be chosen by Cena. He was then attacked by Josh Briggs, who he fought with for two segments and ended up through a table.
There was also an in-ring promo segment between Ricky Saints and Oba Femi, who talked about the NXT Championship. Saints spoke about beating Femi, who had been away recently training to become a better version of himself which Saints won't be able to overcome.
Trick Williams came out, wanting to insert himself into the title picture some more, saying he wasn't done with Saints yet. He was then attacked from behind by Myles Borne, who hit him with a steel chair and put it out there that he would win the Iron Survivor Challenge match and go on to face the winner of Saints vs. Femi at NXT New Year's Evil, which has yet to be announced in any formal fashion for any particular date, but would assumingly be January 6, 2026, unless it will be on December 30th or possibly even the second week of January.
Saints accepted the challenge from Femi for an NXT Championship match at Deadline, which is the only match official for the card at this moment.
Apparently, during next week's show, nothing was taped in front of the audience regarding John Cena's segment, so the full breakdown of the competitors for the Iron Survivor Challenge have not yet been revealed.
However, Myles Borne and Trick Williams did have a match, which seems to have been a qualifier for that. [Borne] managed to come out on top, so while that doesn't necessarily rule out a misinterpretation that both are in the match and this was just a match for the sake of it, there is a chance Cena picks both and says that they have to settle which one earns the spot that way.
