Several championship matches are scheduled for next week’s episode of WWE NXT, which will be on the road as it will tape out of the 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas.
The women’s division will be especially busy, with three separate titles set to be defended during the broadcast. Previously announced at NXT Vengeance Day, the NXT Women’s Championship will on the line in a Triple Threat match where Jacy Jayne defends her title against both Sol Ruca and ZARIA. Jayne addressed in an interview how many champions have been losing their belts lately across WWE programming, and Lola Vice has expressed interest in facing whoever the winner will be.
A second championship bout will also feature a member of Jayne’s Fatal Influence faction. Fallon Henley is set to put the WWE Women’s Speed Championship on the line against Wren Sinclair. Sinclair earned the opportunity by defeating Thea Hail by submission, securing the right to challenge for the title.
Tatum Paxley is also scheduled to defend the NXT Women’s North American Championship against Izzi Dame, but the contest will take place inside a steel cage so as to possibly settle the score between them.
Robert Stone also announced that Hank Walker and Tank Ledger will face Birthright as part of a tournament to determine who will face The Vanity Project for the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver. Also in the tournament are "Super" Sean Legacy and Eli Knight, as well as The Culling.
The reigning champions, The Vanity Project, will also be competing during the Houston show. While their titles will not be on the line, the group is slated for six-man tag team action against the trio of Los Americanos.
Alongside the in-ring lineup, the Houston event will also feature a special recognition segment. During this week’s broadcast, Vic Joseph revealed that the show will include Booker T Appreciation Night, surprising the WWE Hall of Famer while he was working commentary.
The announcement did not include details about what the tribute will involve. Whether the segment will feature a ceremony, video packages, or appearances connected to Booker T’s career has not yet been clarified. However, given Keanu Carver's interaction with Booker on this week's episode, that might roll into things.
