NXT Newcomer Getting Title Shot Debut, TNA Knockouts Tag Team Title Contenders & More Set For NXT Next Week

Newcomer to NXT, Elio Lefleur, will be having his debut WWE match for the brand on next week's episode of NXT, but it won't just be any other match. NXT General Manager Ava informed NXT North American Champion Ethan Page that he would be defending his title against Lefleur as an ongoing bit of meddling on her affair to spite All Ego, who continues to try to duck matches while touting himself the greatest North American and champion going.

Obviously, Page was upset to hear this news, thinking he wouldn't even have to wrestle in a qualifying match, let alone be forced to defend his title. But when he pointed out how ludicrous it was to give someone a title shot on their first match, Ava pointed out the hypocrisy in that he would know something about that, given how his debut match was also a title opportunity.

Ava also had a backstage segment where Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair were going to approach her about getting Grey a rematch against Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women's Championship, until Sol Ruca and Zaria interrupted, as they were also going to be looking to put their names in the hat for a title opportunity. Ava overheard the commotion and announced that Fatal Influence (who she was meeting with at the time) will face ZaRuca and the WrenQCC in a Triple Threat tag team match, with the winners earning an opportunity to face The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay) down the line at some unspecified time for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship.

Also on the lineup will be Swipe Right of The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes) in tag team action against Chase University (assumingly Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors). All three members of The Vanity Project (so WWE EVOLVE champion Jackson Drake as well) were confirmed to have been called up to the NXT roster on this episode.

While not confirmed, Jaida Parker could also be in action against Blake Monroe, given their confrontation on this week's episode, as well as something with Stacks and Lexis King forging their friendship, along with a follow-up about Tony D'Angelo, given how this show ended.
