Here is a breakdown of the results from tonight's episode of NXT for February 21, 2018:

— The Velveteen Dream defeated No Way Jose by pinfall

— William Regal announces the start of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in two weeks. The winners will not only get the trophy, but also a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championship at TakeOver: New Orleans.

— Nikki Cross defeated Vanessa Borne by pinfall

— Andrade "Cien" Almas defeated Johnny Gargano by pinfall to retain the NXT Championship after interference from Tommaso Ciampa. Per the stipulations, Gargano is forced to leave NXT. Candice LeRae embraces him in the ring and the crowd gives him a standing applause and thanks him. Ciampa rears his head again to wave goodbye and smirk.

Based on the tapings, spoilers, advertisements and notes from tonight's episode, next week's edition of NXT is set to feature the following segments, as well as possibly more:

- Shayna Baszler vs. Kairi Sane
- The debut of Trevor "Ricochet" Mann
