AJ Styles vs. Omos was supposed to happen last Monday, but for whatever reason, it was reported that the giant WWE Superstar left before RAW went on the air (we're guessing there might have been a COVID-19 scare considering the virus has been makings its way through the roster).
Regardless, the match finally took place last night and went exactly as you might expect.
While Styles managed to get a few offensive moves in, he was dominated by Omos from start to finish. It wasn't a great match, but showcased WWE's new giant and established him as a threat. Where we go from here is hard to say, but it wouldn't be overly surprising if Omos is given the chance to make an impact in the Royal Rumble (whether he'll win is another matter, of course).
WWE's creative plans for WrestleMania appear to be in constant flux right now, though we do know Vince McMahon has high hopes to push Omos as this generation's Andre the Giant. As for Styles, it's unclear what the future holds in store for him, though SmackDown would benefit for a new challenger for Roman Reigns' Universal title now Drew McIntyre has been sidelined.
