Omos came back in a huge way.
The former WWE Tag Team Champion made his grand return at TripleMania XXXIII in a Copa Bardahl Cibernetico match. The nearly 27 minute match saw the WWE giant dominate once he got in, with that viral moment of him and Microman having a staredown.
Was this moment always planned? Not particularly as Omos was brought in on short notice. The WWE star explained to NarcolepsyBoy94 how his appearance at TripleMania came to be.
“That happened. I was just backstage. I’m like, ‘Sure.’ I didn’t even know it was a battle royal. It was just, ‘Hey, we have something going on at Triple A. You want (to go?). ‘Sure.’ Next call, I’m in Mexico City. I didn’t really get much experience to travel a lot outside of the US. Once I got my immigration stuff settled and situated, I’m like, ‘I’m going to travel now.’ Any time I can travel and leave the country, sign me up,” he said
Deeper in the interview, Omos talked about his influences when it comes to wrestling and the 33-year-old details his mentors who have helped him out in the business thus far.
“Oh man, AJ Styles, Undertaker, MVP, because when we were together on the road, we got really close. Because we did a lot of drives together. I’m talking about two, three-hour drives where we would just talk about everything. Shelton Benjamin. Yeah, I would say those are like — when it comes to wrestling-wise — those are like the four people.
“Mark Henry. Whenever I need, I can call Mark Henry. I can always give him a call. He’s always there for me. Freaking Kevin Nash, he as well. When Scott Hall was alive, he used to call me all the time and, you know, tell me I was doing a good job and keep on doing a good job. He produced my first-ever wrestling match that I ever had, Scott Hall.”
Unfortunately, we still don’t know when Omos is going to return to WWE television. Though he’s recently re-signed a WWE contract, Omos has not wrestled on WWE television since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2024. The WWE star competed in 2025, but those matches were in Pro Wrestling NOAH and TripleMania. It’s unknown why WWE has simply refused to use Omos on their regular programming. However, the guy is getting paid so he likely doesn’t care too much.
